Riello UPS presents Sentinel Dual SDU Modular MBB: a complementary accessory for the Sentinel Dual SDU UPS series, ideal for guaranteeing maximum energy protection and resilience for critical applications, optimising initial installation costs.
The new SDU Modular MBB bypass completes the creation of a parallel UPS system (power or redundancy), allowing for extremely easy installation, management and maintenance of the system through hot-swap connections.
Equipped with the same aesthetics and size of the UPS so that it can be installed either in a tower position next to the UPS or in a 19" rack cabinet.
A true plug&play accessory that allows quick and easy UPS disconnection and replacement from the system without interrupting power to the load.
Sentinel Dual SDU Modular MBB, in fact, can be installed in combination with Sentinel Dual SDU UPS in standard rack cabinets without the need for costly dedicated systems, thereby significantly reducing initial investment costs.
The company's needs are also met in terms of scalability and easy maintenance, with the new bypass it is in fact possible to connect up to 3 Sentinel Dual SDU 5, 6, 8 and 10 kVA/kW in parallel with N+1 redundant capacity or configuration: if one of the 3 UPS connected in parallel needs maintenance or is experiencing a fault, simply switch it off and the system will automatically balance the load on the remaining UPS.
The same is true when the power is turned back on, an indispensable guarantee of reliability in critical systems.
The UPS connected in parallel are in fact coordinated by means of a control board (SDU Parallel Kit) that provides for the exchange of information through a ring connection, an architecture that provides redundancy in the connection, increasing the reliability of the system.
For complete and precise control of the systems, the Sentinel Dual SDU series can be equipped with the NetMan204 network card (which allows management of VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualised systems), temperature and humidity sensors as well as the Full license for management of UPS in parallel.
