Dassault Systèmes announces SOLIDWORKS 2021, the latest version of its 3D design and engineering solutions portfolio.
SOLIDWORKS 2021 streamlines functionality and workflows for design, documentation, data management, and validation, enabling users to complete work faster.
SOLIDWORKS 2021 also offers the ability toexpand its capabilities by linking to the 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS portfolio, with the goal of addressing more challenges-from design to production-and accelerating cloud-based collaborative innovation.
SOLIDWORKS 2021 includes a number of performance improvements and feature expansions, as well as the top 10 enhancements requested by the SOLIDWORKS community and revealed at the 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 event in February.
Performance enhancements affect part and assembly design, product downloads, drawings, graphics, and data management to speed file operations and workflows.
SOLIDWORKS 2021 expands functionality by offering improved assembly simplification, more flexible part design, and more robust simulation, as well as an even more optimized and intuitive user experience.
It is also available in a special version linked to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in three variants: 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Standard, Professional and Premium, which mirror the desktop versions.
So customers can use the same SOLIDWORKS desktop applications they've relied on for years, plus the cloud-based services of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform that provide greater collaboration and the ability to connect via mobile.
This version of SOLIDWORKS comes with built-in data management, deleting obsolete or lost files and automatically updating software and data.
Users work on the same version and one click is all it takes to access all the advanced applications of the 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS solution portfolio.
Offerings includecloud-based industrial and mechanical design that is optimized for mobile devices and designed for automation and collaborative work on the go.
