NeoCortec has announced the launch of a family of breakout boards for development and prototyping applications that offer designers a simple and easy way to get started with NeoMESH, the world's most versatileself-forming low-powerwireless mesh network.
Designed to operate as stand-alone development boards or in Feather Wing mode for compatibility with Adafruit Feather boards, FWNCxxxx breakout boards can be used in the 2.4 GHz, 868 MHz and 915 MHz frequency bands.
NeoCortec's FWNCxxxx breakout boards feature the compact NC1000 and NC2400 low-power network modules developed by NeoCortec, which can be used for a wide range of IoT-based applications including cloud sensor networks, home automation and smart working, energy measurement, security, agriculture, transportation, Industry 4.0, medical devices and food distribution.
All NeoCortec modules have the same very small footprint of 11 x 18 x 2.6 mm, so there is no need to modify the final product to support a full range of frequency bands.
The average power consumption is also very low: 20 mA.
The new breakout boards offer easy access to the General Purpose Input/Output ( GPIO) interface to simplify customisation.
An antenna U. FL is the only component that needs to be added before starting the tests.
Sensors and other peripheral devices can be inserted directly onto the board if required.
