Powell Electronics distributes Harwin's Gecko-MT range of mixed layout and 1.25 mm pitch connectors.

Gecko-MT models are the most compact and lightweight mixed-layout connectors currently available for high-performance systems where footprint, weight, and power consumption matter most, for example, in aerospace, defense, motorsports, and other applications.

The connectors are offered with 2 or 4 contacts for power and 8 contacts for signals, with current of 10 A and 2 A per contact for each type, respectively, and pin pitch for signals of 1.25 mm to minimize bulk and weight.

Capable of operating in extreme temperatures (the operating range is -65Ā°C to +150Ā°C), Gecko-MTs offer exceptional durability, 1,000 mating cycles, a patented 4-tab contact design that maintains electrical contact even under high levels of vibration (up to 20 G for 2 h) and shock (up to 1,000 G for 6 ms), and stainless steel locking screws to secure the connection.

Connectors are available in awide range of configurations, and each model can feature up to 50 contacts.

Cable housings are compatible with Gecko back shells, and circuit board connectors are offered in vertical or right-angle versions.

Light metal covers are available for additional cable protection and shielding against radio frequency interference.
